Fire analysis using Sentinel-2 and Sentinel-5P data: Oil pipeline explosion near Strymba Village

Abstract

Oil pipeline explosions pose a serious threat to environmental safety. The relevance of this study lies in examining the consequences of such incidents and their impact on the environment. The aim of the research was to assess the scale of the fire and the degree of air pollution by nitrogen dioxide and carbon monoxide following the pipeline explosion.

Вибухи на трубопроводах нафти стають серйозною загрозою для екологічної безпеки. Актуальність даного дослідження полягає у вивченні наслідків подібних інцидентів та їх впливу на довкілля. Мета дослідження полягала в оцінці масштабу пожежі та ступеня забруднення повітря діоксидом азоту та оксидом вуглецю після вибуху трубопроводу.
