Abstract

Identification of the basic laws of economic development is impossible without studying the relationship between economic processes and phenomena. The latter are subject to simulation, and on the basis of models it is possible to find out with a certain probability whether there were qualitative and quantitative changes in the processes, in their interactions on each other, and so on. The paper is devoted to the study of the possibilities of using the Granger test to study the causal relationships between investment and innovation indicators of the regions and their impact on the socio-economic development of the territories. Granger's test is based on statistical tests and the use of linear regression models.
